Parque de la Madre is done!

Parque de la Madre, or Mother's Park, is now all renovated and open to the Public.  It's been a long year of construction, but now the Park includes parking, updated sports facilities and play equipment for the children.

Cuenca celebrated the opening this past weekend with a concert, fireworks, art and food booths, sporting events and more.  We were so excited to see the finished project!  Very nice.

We admired everything, watched the kids having fun, we walked around the new running track with all the dog walkers and families...just a delightful time.  The weather was beautiful, too.

This is a picture of the popular children's zip line.

You can do a search on this blog to see the before pics...we used to walk through the Park before the construction and enjoyed it even then...

Here are the pics of the new additions and all the families having fun.

2 of our favorite statues are back in the Park:

Good job, Cuenca!  We're proud of you!
